Enhancing resilience to reduce work-family conflict: An interventional study

Abstract

An Interventional Study was applied in which a pre-test-post-test design with a control group was used. The statistical population of this research is all the nurses of Azarshahr Hospital in 2022, 30 couples were randomly selected among these nurses and divided into two cases (15 couples) and control (15 couples) groups. Two-way MANCOVA was used to analyze the data. after the implementation of resilience teaching, all three components of time-based conflict, strain-based conflict, and behavior-based conflict decreased in the participants of the case group compared to the control group. and gender did not significantly affect the effect of resilience teaching on the levels of the dependent variable. Work-family conflict is one of the stressful factors caused by role since this conflict is indicative of inconsistency and conflict between the requirements and demands of two different roles. Because nursing is one of the jobs that is prone to creating work-family conflict, especially in conditions such as In the epidemic of respiratory infectious diseases, using training programs with resilience content is recommended to reduce the level of work-family conflict.

Biography

Hadis Amiri has completed her PHD at the age of 38 years from Kerman University of medical sciences. She is the faculty member of Kerman University of medical sciences. She has almost 20 publications that have been cited over 160 times, and her publication h-index is 7. She started working as a faculty member in 2021, before that she managed several medical and technological institutions.
